Groz-Beckert DBX1 Industrial Sewing Machine Needles

Genuine Groz-Beckert DBX1 needles for single-needle industrial lockstitch machines, suitable for Brother machines. This is one of the most widely used industrial needle systems, also sold as 1738, 16x257, 16x231, 71x1 and DLX1, so if your machine takes any of these, DBX1 is the needle you need.

Choosing your point type

Regular point (R): the all-round choice for woven fabrics such as cotton, polyester, shirting and suiting.
Ball point (FFG/SES): a slightly rounded tip that pushes between the fibres instead of piercing them. Best for knits, jersey and stretch fabrics, because it helps prevent snags, holes and skipped stitches.

Choosing your size

Use smaller sizes (Nm 60/8 to 80/12) for fine and lightweight fabrics, medium sizes (Nm 90/14 to 100/16) for everyday medium-weight fabrics, and larger sizes (Nm 110/18 to 130/21) for heavyweight fabrics, denim and thicker threads.
